Protecting Our Waterways

In March, our Government announced almost $5.8 million in funding for the Burnaby Wastewater Combined Sewer Separation Program. Sewer separation is a major upgrade to the critical infrastructure that safeguards our health and protects our waterways. By making serious investments now, we help the city eliminate older parts of our system that discharge excess flows into our waterways. Federal investments in this project also help our municipal resources go further.
