Building a Strong and Connected Canada

This summer, I’ve been back in Burnaby North-Seymour — connecting with many of you at community events, on doorsteps, and in local meetings. One topic that has come up often is Bill C-5, the Building Canada Act.

This legislation is about growing our economy responsibly — building infrastructure, creating high-paying sustainable jobs, and improving affordability — while upholding the highest standards of Indigenous consultation and environmental protection. Experts estimate that eliminating internal trade barriers alone could grow our economy by up to $200 billion and create tens of thousands of new jobs.

As always, I will continue to bring your voices to Ottawa and advocate for responsible, inclusive policies that reflect our community’s values.
