Here in Burnaby and North Vancouver we are lucky enough to have small businesses on almost every street corner. Especially here on the Burnaby Heights at one of my favourite lunch spots, Chad Thai. Chad Thai first opened in 2011 and is an active member of the Burnaby Heights Community. At their core, Chad Thai aims to provide healthy and delicious Thai Food at an affordable price. In fact, “CHAD” Thai stands for Customer Satisfaction, Healthy, Affordable, and Delicious.
A firmly community oriented business, Chad Thai buys local ingredients from their neighbours and donates to local schools and to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation. They also provide space for community events, and always take part in events on the Heights like Hats Off Day, Crave the Heights, and Halloween on the Heights.
Our government recognizes that small businesses such as Chad Thai are critical for middle class families in our community. That is why we lowered the small business tax to 9%! This will give small business owners up to $7500 in savings a year!
Chad Thai is thankful for the hard work Heights Merchants Association, the amazing local businesses that supply their ingredients, and the residents who are their valued customers. Their customers have supported them through and through, and have regularly voted them the “Best in Burnaby” (Burnaby NOW) winner for Best Thai Food.
Next time you’re in the mood for delicious Thai food, come check out the amazing food and team at Chad Thai on Burnaby Heights!
After weeks of constituency meetings, I have my checklists ready to go! I have been passing on everything you have shared with me to cabinet Ministers this weekend! Thank you Burnaby and North Vancouver for being the most active community in the country!
I would like to thank the staff and members at M.O.S.A.I.C. who shared their emotional personal stories with Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, Ahmed Hussen, and myself. It was heartwarming to hear about how our government has made a positive impact on the lives of newcomers in Burnaby and North Vancouver.
We have worked hard to innovate and deliver better services for newcomers, and that is why our government just announced a $113 million investment to improve Pre-Arrival services across Canada.
Comment below if our government has made calling Canada home possible for you.
