3,000 New Jobs for Burnaby at Stemcell

Over the last few years, the growth of the cleantech industry in Burnaby and North Vancouver has been enormous. As an MP, I’ve been fortunate to both visit and announce federal funding for numerous local companies including Inventys, Cellula Robotics, and Burnaby’s General Fusion. One of the most exciting recent announcements was the $45 million investment in BC Biotech company, STEMCELL Technologies. The funding will help build a state-of-the-art facility in Burnaby that will bring over 3,000 good-paying middle class jobs to our community. This is another example of the positive outcomes that can occur when governments work together
