Our Community

Our riding of Burnaby-North Seymour was created in 2015, and we’ve worked hard to represent this community and ensure our voice is heard in Ottawa. The riding is located on the traditional territory of the Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish, and Musqueam First Nations, and is made up of Burnaby north of Lougheed Highway, and North Vancouver east of the Seymour River. The Burrard Inlet cuts through the middle of our riding, and helps shape our identity as a community dedicated to sustainability and conservation.

We have a vibrant and diverse community which is leading the country in many different innovative and cultural fields. We are home to the world-class Simon Fraser University. Arc’teryx is headquartered in our riding. So is global biotechnology leader, STEMCELL Technologies. We are also home to some of the most innovative restaurants, craft brewers and small businesses in BC. We have non-profits that serve our entire province, including the amazing Down Syndrome Resource Foundation, and the Seymour Salmonid Society.

Our riding is uniquely Canadian, and I’m proud not only to call it home, but to have the duty of representing our community’s interests in Ottawa. If you have any feedback for me, any concerns you want me to bring to Ottawa, or any ideas to improve our already thriving community, please reach out to my office. The physical location is at 3906 Hastings St (Burnaby BC, V5C 6C1), our number is 604 718 8870, or you can email us at terry.beech@parl.gc.ca. My most important job as a Member of Parliament is to hear your concerns and be your voice in Ottawa, so believe me when I say I want to hear from you!
